Best Shopping Malls in Tbilisi
I’m sure you’re wondering about this. So, I’ve made it easier and compiled a top 3 list of the best shopping malls in the capital. Although each complex has its own uniqueness and peculiarity, there are places that have rightfully become real magnets for residents and visitors of the city and they can be called the best shopping malls in Tbilisi.
Before we move on to the list, I’d like to note that choosing the best is an eternal debate, and my list is based on the opinions of many city residents, as well as my own experience.
1) Gallery
2) East Point
3) Tbilisi Mall
And now more about them and other shopping malls in Tbilisi.
Large shopping malls in Tbilisi
There are several large shopping malls in Tbilisi with a large selection of clothing stores. For shopping, it is worth going there first of all. Some of them are within walking distance from the metro, others are worth going by car or public transport. I have compiled a list of the largest passages in Tbilisi that are worth visiting, as well as information about what is special about each of them.
Gallery (Galleria Tbilisi)
Let’s start with the most easily accessible and popular one – the Gallery. It is located in the very center of the city on Shota Rustaveli Avenue, right next to the “Freedom Square” metro station. The Gallery consists of 8 floors, one of which is a basement. Here you will find everything you need: equipment, clothes, shoes, branded glasses, watches and belts, everyday and decorative cosmetics, perfume, pharmaceuticals, jewelry and many other goods.
There are clothing stores such as H&M, Zara, Calvin Klein, Armani Exchange, LC Waikiki, NewYorker and dozens of other famous brands. The boutiques of Georgian designers, beloved by many tourists, can also be found in the Gallery.
If you get hungry, you can go up to the top floor with a food court and eat in numerous cafes, fast food places and restaurants. I highly recommend trying ice cream from Luca Polare – this is a Georgian brand that produces the most delicious ice cream of more than 60 types. It is truly natural, creamy and perfectly refreshing.
On the top floor there is a cinema “Cavea Galleria” (useful note: you can buy the cheapest tickets to any of the cinemas in Tbilisi on Wednesdays. But keep in mind! The shows are in English or Georgian).
You can also visit the children’s entertainment center “Ria-Ria”. Trampolines, slides, a ball pit, numerous slot machines and labyrinths will definitely not let your children get bored. In the basement there is a supermarket where you can buy groceries, as well as take fresh baked goods and already prepared food from the deli department. A great convenience is the multi-story parking in the building of the shopping center, so feel free to come by car.

East Point
East Point is the largest shopping center by area not only in Tbilisi, but also in the entire Caucasus. The territory is a multitude of large and small buildings, which house clothing stores, footwear stores, electronics and accessories for it, perfume stores, cosmetics stores, a Carrefour supermarket, etc. Here you can find brand stores: Kiko Milano, Adidas, Puma, H&M, Zara, Stradivarius, Levis, etc.
There is also Domino here – the largest store with goods for the home, repairs, furniture, everything for growing houseplants, barbecue for picnics, etc. Locals go here for all this. It is important that the store can provide furniture delivery directly to your home.
Address: Aleksandre Tvalchrelidze Street, 2
Working hours: 10:00-22:00

Although East Point is located at a distance, at the easternmost point of the city, it is easy to get there: you can go to the Varketili or Samgori metro station and take a minibus, or you can take a taxi comfortably. If you have your own car, go there – there is plenty of parking, and it is free.
Tbilisi Mall
Tbilisi Mall is one of the largest shopping centers in Georgia. The facade of the premises is unusual and very beautiful, made of huge multi-colored blocks. Inside, on 6 floors there are a large number of brand stores, basically all the same as in other passages, but the peculiarity of Tbilisi Mall is that it is located at a distance from the center, so there are fewer visitors here, respectively, the condition of the goods, the quality of service and the range of sizes of clothes are better.
Boutiques of Georgian designers are also present in this complex.
There is a whole floor for children: toy shops, an entertainment complex and even a petting zoo. You can go to a very large Carrefour and buy groceries, so it is most convenient to come here by car.
Address: Agmashenebeli Street, 16
Working hours: 10:00-22:00

The complex is located on the outskirts of the city, it is convenient to stop here on the way to Mtskheta, it is also best to come by your own car or taxi (free parking is located under the building).

City Mall Saburtalo
City Mall is a very convenient place for shopping. The shopping center is new, very modern, beautiful and shiny. Here you can find brands of the middle and higher segment: from New Yorker, Zara and Mango to Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld and Diesel. There are large specialized computer stores, jewelry, children’s toys, book and flower shops, home goods and decor, perfume and much more.
Do not forget about the food courts, the sushi that is prepared here is very famous. In addition to Japanese cuisine, the total number of cafes is as many as 21 establishments!

It is easy to get there from the Vazha-Pshavela or Delisi metro stations and walk a little (it will take a maximum of 7 minutes), there is also a parking lot for 300 places, so you can come by car.
Karvasla
Karvasla Mall is not only a shopping mall, but also a business center in Tbilisi. In addition to clothes, there are many shops with quality shoes (Corso Italy, Flo, Geox, Bata), so come here for them. There are also shops with equipment and electronics, bookstores, perfume, belts, watches, bags and other accessories.
The pride of this shopping center is the gold market. There you can buy genuine products made of gold, silver, pearls and precious stones at a very good price. Locals often come here to buy gifts for their loved ones. Karvasla Mall has not only goods, but also services: a beauty salon, a dental clinic, a cafe, conference rooms and even a bank.
Address: Tsotne Dadiani Street, 7
Opening hours: 10:00-22:00

The shopping mall is located right next to the Station Square metro station, so getting to Karvasla Mall will not cause any difficulties.
Bazari Orbeliani
The Orbeliani Bazaar is not quite a classic shopping center of its kind, but it is a very interesting place and is worth your attention. It is unique in its kind, because it is a reconstruction of the Tiflis market, which was founded on this site in 1886. You can see its surviving photos on the first floor of the building, they are printed on large banners.
It is also unusual in that it combines a large food court and a farmers’ fair. It offers a wide variety of natural and high-quality products: cheeses, honey, wine, fruits, vegetables, meat products, spices, bread, sweets, etc. Fairs and tastings are often held here, for example, at Easter you could try different types of Easter cakes.
The top floor is occupied by a food court, but you will not find the usual fast food chains there. Restaurants with Georgian cuisine, Japanese noodles, Mexican tacos, Italian pasta, pizza, cafes with American cuisine, all kinds of desserts, coffee and alcoholic cocktails – all this can be tried at Orbeliani. There is only one of each cuisine here, this was done to achieve maximum diversity in the food court.
The interior will pleasantly surprise you: spacious space, large windows, lots of plants, light colors, unusual chandeliers and fans suspended by chains from the ceiling. If you want to sit in the fresh air, go out to the terrace, there are comfortable bar stools and a table, bean bags, everything is filled with decorative plants, but most importantly – a beautiful view of the square and the city opens up. It is especially beautiful there in the evening, in the light of lanterns and neon signs.
On the very bottom floor is Carrefour (one of the largest in the city). This supermarket has a huge selection of products, locals often shop there. In addition, there is a department with stationery and household goods.
The pride of Carrefour is its gastronomic department. Fried meat, fish, dozens of types of salads and pickled vegetables, sushi, fresh garlic bread, khachapuri, lobiani, and especially pancakes with Nutella have become a favorite choice of buyers. If you like delicious food or want to bring edible souvenirs from your trip, then you are definitely here, at the Orbeliani Bazaar.
